The 2026 Strawberry Train season starts this Sunday, 22 March!

por .

The legendary Strawberry Train (Tren de la Fresa) is back on the rails this Sunday, 22 March, marking a new season that celebrates the 175th anniversary of the Madrid–Aranjuez railway.

Step aboard its beautifully preserved wooden carriages for an immersive trip back in time and enjoy the architectural splendour and natural charm of the Royal Site of Aranjuez.

From this Sunday, the Strawberry Train will run every weekend until 9 November, except between 13 June and 27 September. It will also operate on Good Friday, 3 April, and Friday, 1 May — perfect dates to add a sweet twist to your holidays.

On board, passengers will enjoy lively historical re-enactments performed by actors, and the crew will hand out a serving of the famous Aranjuez strawberries that give the train its name.
