Adif to make La Serna station (Fuenlabrada) fully accessible

La Serna station in Fuenlabrada is set for a comprehensive refurbishment with accessibility upgrades that strengthen rail as the most practical, sustainable and comfortable way to travel across southern Madrid. Adif plans to update the project design this autumn, as part of the wider renewal of the Cercanías Madrid C-5 line.

The works will include a new underpass to ease passenger movement and streamline access to the station. As more people look for faster, more efficient journeys with a lower environmental impact, these improvements help cement rail as the natural alternative to the car for everyday trips.

In addition, Adif and Fuenlabrada City Council are working on a collaboration agreement to move the scheme forward and explore further rail enhancements in the municipality. All of this points in the same direction: making the train more accessible, more useful and closer to daily life.
