Andalucía and the Madrid–Barcelona corridor lead growth
Andalucía heads Iryo’s operational expansion in 2027. The Madrid–Málaga route leads in absolute terms, with a 63.67% increase and 1,367 additional services (from 2,147 to 3,514 operations). Madrid–Seville grows by 39.06%, with 1,091 more frequencies, reaching 3,884 services in the year.
The Madrid–Barcelona corridor remains Iryo’s busiest route, with 7,740 annual frequencies. Meanwhile, Madrid–Albacete grows by 12.9% (32 additional services), while Madrid–Valencia and Barcelona–Seville maintain 2026 capacity, consolidating supply on key axes.
Intermediate cities gain more stops and better connections
The capacity boost also benefits intermediate cities, which see an increase in the number of stops and their connection options with the main corridors:
- Córdoba adds 2,779 additional stops (+40.81%).
- Ciudad Real and Puertollano record 207.4% growth, with 1,834 extra stops per year at each station.
- Zaragoza adds 577 more stops (+10.2%).
- Albacete increases its operations by 12.9%, with 32 extra stops.

Iryo has designed its 2027 offer around corporate mobility, with timetables that facilitate same-day return trips. The company is strengthening early-morning and late-afternoon slots, with more than 6,000 outbound frequencies and over 8,200 return options.

- Madrid–Barcelona–Madrid: departures from Madrid from 06:09 (also 07:00, 07:52, 08:17 and 09:15); returns from Barcelona at 17:20, 18:53, 19:40 and 20:36.
- Barcelona–Madrid–Barcelona: departures from Barcelona from 05:45 (and 07:05, 07:45, 08:30 and 10:08); returns from Madrid at 16:47, 17:22, 18:32, 19:29 and 20:22.
